All Star Game
Over 60 young people with various disabilities joined together at Kraft Stadium, eagerly assisted by over a hundred enthusiastic volunteers who came to cheer them on, applaud, whistle and encourage them. Each of the young participants felt like a hero - running from base to base, assisted by their special Buddy. Thank you Coach Dean Klassman and Leslie Klassman for coming all the way from Chicago to lead this incredible game.
Mamilla Avenua and Sokolov Park
Friendship Circle's Lag B'omer Parade and Carnival this year was full of life and energy! With a real marching band and drums, all marched from Mamilla to the beautiful Sokolov Park! We were greeted there by an exciting rally and the amazing Brazilian Circus! The delicious barbecue, incredible face painting, cool photo magnets, and fun carnival games all added to the joyful family atmosphere.
World Record Marathon Matzah Bake
The second annual Grand Matzah Bake at The First Station Jerusalem was incredible! Friendship Circle families joined together with other families from Jerusalem and surrounding areas to create the longest Matzah we have ever seen! With live music by The Solomon Brothers, cool Pesach arts and crafts, the entertaining Mayim Shelanu show, yummy pizza and ice cream, and an AWESOME marathon matzah bake, this was an event enjoyed by all!!!
With delicious food, art and crafts, mishloach manos, an amazing show, costumes, and face painting, everyone had a blast at the Purim Party!
Auction and Gala
Children of Friendship Circle are mentored by well-known Jerusalem artists, who give selflessly of their time and talents to our youngsters, opening their minds and souls to the world of art. The resulting artworks are then showcased and displayed in a professional gallery setting with a formal cocktail evening celebrating the children's talents, which are taken from potential to reality through the interaction of artist mentor and child.
