There was not a dry eye in the crowd as the children lit the candles and sang favorite Chanukah tunes, followed by a dynamic Olive Press workshop by Shalom Peretz.

Mayanot students went 'lebedik' with the children and Friendship Circle volunteers ensured each pure soul went home with their own homemade 'pach shemen katan.'

"We wouldn't miss a Friendship Circle party for the world," said Oren, father of 5 year old Joey. "Here, no mistakes are made, and whatever Joey does here, is acceptable, as it's all about acceptance and friendship."

The 3rd Chanukah lighting was dedicated to new Olim - recent immigrants who have made Aliya to Israel.

Mr. Kurt Rothschild and his wife Edith were the first guests of honor. Rothschild is a Mizrachi stalwart and renowned worldwide for his Chessed. He made Aliyah with his wife in 2012 at the age of 92.

Mr. Gershon Wachtel, a world famous concert pianist of Toronto lit the second candle and the Kessel family of New Jersey, the third.
The Jeursalem Klezmer dancers enthralled the crowd with their music, dancing skills and went well beyond their task of enlivening an enthusiastic crowd.
